ISO 13934 - 1 : TENSILE STRENGTH
The tensile strength of a woven outer material shall be minimum 300 N for warp and weft.
ISO 13937 - 2 : TEAR STRENGTH
PHYSICAL PROPERTIES REQUIRED
ISO 5077 : DIMENSIONAL CHANGE
The change in dimensional of woven, non-woven and sheet materials shall not exceed 3% in either length or width direction. The change in dimensional of knitted materials shall not exceed 5%, if is greater than 5%, the manufacturer shall give relevant information and advice in the Manufacturers Instructions and labelling.
ISO 6942 : MOLTEN IRON SPLASHES [ CODE : D ]
Garments and/or clothing assemblies which are claimed to offer protection against molten aluminium splashes shall meet at least performance level D1 in following table
ISO 6942 : MOLTEN ALUMINIUM SPLASHES [ CODE : D ]
Garments and/or clothing assemblies which are claimed to offer protection against molten aluminium splashes shall meet at least performance level D1 in following table
ISO 6942 : RADIANT HEAT [ CODE : C ]
Tested at a heat flux density of 20 kW/m2 garments and/or clothing assemblies which are claimed to offer protection against radiant heat shall meet at least performance level C1 in below table.
ISO 9151 : CONVECTIVE HEAT [ CODE : B ]
Garments and/or clothing assemblies which are claimed to offer protection against convective heat shall meet at least performance level B1.
ISO 15025 : LIMITED FLAME SPREAD [ CODE : A ]
The materials and seams, shall be tested according to the procedure A (A1 code) or procedure B (A2 code).
When tested according to the procedure A, shall meet the following requirements:
a) No specimen shall give hole formation.
b) No specimen shall give flaming to the top or either side edge
c) No specimen shall melt or give flaming or molten debris
d) The mean value of after-flame time shall be ≤ 2 s.
e) The mean value of after-glow time shall be ≤ 2 s.
f) Seams shall continue to hold the panels of fabrics together
When tested according to the procedure B, shall meet the following requirements:
a) No specimen shall give flaming to the top or either side edge
b) No specimen shall melt or give flaming or molten debris
c) The mean value of after-flame time shall be ≤ 2 s.
d) The mean value of after-glow time shall be ≤ 2 s.
ISO 17493 : THERMAL PERFORMANCE
Heat resistance at a temperature of 180ºC : All fabrics and hardware used in the garment and/or clothing assembly shall not ignite or melt and shall not shrink more than 5%
Heat resistance at a temperature of 260ºC: If the fabric shall be worn next to the skin, that material shall not ignite or melt and shall not shrink more than 10%

ISO 6330 : PRE-TREATMENT
Before each test, the test materials shall be washed and dried 5 times in accordance with the procedure EN ISO 6330. If industrial washing and/or finishing is allowed, then the protective clothing shall be washed five times in accordance with ISO 15797.
